How we calculate prices
Last updated: October 13, 2026
1. What the price means
The price shown is the total for the tour or rental, not per person, already including the lowest mandatory add-on listed by the operator (for example, a route fee). Prices are always in Brazilian reais (R$). The operator sets, charges and confirms the price; Floripa Days only organizes and displays this information. What each kind of tour includes is explained in its own section below.
2. Three kinds of price
Advertised price: published by the operator for the season and checked by us. Approximate price: published or provided by the operator but not yet checked. Estimated price: calculated by the site from the low-season price when the operator doesn't publish that season's price. On screen, every price is labeled "Estimated price", since the final price is always confirmed by the operator.
3. Seasons
We use four seasons, based on the tour date. Peak: December 26 to January 5 and Carnival (from the Friday before through Ash Wednesday). High: December 1 to 25, January 6 to 31, and February. Mid: March, October and November. Low: April to September. When you pick a date, you see the price for that date's season.
4. How we estimate
When the operator doesn't publish a season's price, we multiply the low-season price: mid season × 1.2 (+20%), high season × 1.5 (+50%) and peak season × 2 (double). The result is rounded to the nearest ten reais. Example: R$ 500 in low season is estimated at R$ 600 in mid season, R$ 750 in high season and R$ 1,000 in peak season. A price published by the operator for the season always takes precedence over the estimate. Prices with no season stated are not multiplied, since they may already be high-season prices, and are shown as published.
5. Lowest price
When a tour has more than one price option (duration, route or boat) or the operator advertises a minimum price, the card shows the lowest one. The price table on each tour page lists every option separately.
6. On request
Some operators don't publish prices. To appear in the lists and search, a tour needs at least a price, capacity and duration: the minimum to compare it with others. Tours that don't have these yet remain on each operator's page; for those, ask the operator for the price for your date directly on WhatsApp.
7. Budget filter
With a date selected, the budget filter compares the price for that date's season (advertised or estimated). Without a date, it compares the tour's lowest advertised price.
8. Boats
The price is the total for the whole boat and group, up to the capacity stated by the operator, for the chosen duration or route. It assumes skipper and fuel are included, and life jackets are mandatory under Brazilian Navy rules. Mandatory route fees are already in the total; paid extras (such as decoration, photos or extra gear) are not, and are arranged separately with the operator.
9. Jet ski
The price is the total to rent one jet ski for the chosen time (for example, 2 hours, a 4-hour half day or an 8-hour full day). It carries the driver and, depending on the model, one passenger. There's no skipper: you drive if you hold the Brazilian Navy's personal watercraft license (Motonauta), or a licensed driver does. A life jacket is always included. Fuel may change the price, especially if you drive with your own license, and should be arranged with the operator before heading out.
10. Final price
Every price on the site is a reference. The final price is always set and confirmed by the operator: agree on price, date and conditions directly with them before booking.
